Hi there!
We’re trying something new - a monthly lunch & learn option for those interested in diving deeper into sex therapy.
Hosted by Jamie Brazell, AASECT-certified Sex Therapist & Supervisor, these events will offer an opportunity to explore various topics associated with sex/sexuality and how this comes up in the therapy room.
We are going to limit the number of participants to 10 per month.
We will explore a different topic every month and offer case presentations and sometimes even guest speakers.
This first month is about one of the biggest issues that come up in sex therapy: DESIRE DISCREPANCIES!
What happens when one person wants more sex than the other?
What are some orange or red flags for a therapist when working with couples presenting with this issue?
What do you want to learn and explore with this topic?
Q&A time and a 30 minute social hour to follow.
Please feel free to bring your own lunch - as that part will not be fully provided, but we will have some snacks and bevs available. :)

at our group room in the Historic Homewood building
19 Zillicoa St, suite 3, Asheville, NC 28801
The Historic Homewood Building - please park behind the building or on the street or in the overflow parking behind the building that is to the right of when you are facing our building.
You’ll enter through the back door that faces the parking lot - labeled “west entrance” and then you will take the elevator to the third floor and we will be in the group room (straight off the elevator, left down the hall).
registration $50 - add to cart and then follow cart prompts to complete registration.
1 hours of AASECT continuing education (1 CE credit) is earned through attending and submitting the feedback form after attending. Does your licensure board accept AASECT credit? I’m not sure, but I have never once had a problem with the MFT board. That’s literally going to be my answer any time that question is asked because I cannot guarantee that your board will accept it, but I have never heard of a board that didn’t and I also know that a lot of boards won’t pre-approve CEs because they typically don’t have the resources to do that.
