Demystifying Sex Therapy
Demystifying Sex Therapy
Think of this as a sex therapy 101 of sorts - if you’ve ever wondered what a sex therapist often sees, why someone would get certified as a sex therapist, how to get certified, common concerns that clients present with in sex therapy, when to refer out, and more…this is the workshop for you!
About your host: Jamie Zane Brazell is the owner of Out of the Woods Therapy in Asheville - which is where this workshop will be located. Jamie is certified with AASECT as a Sex Therapist as well as a Sex Therapist Supervisor. She writes a monthly column called Sex & Love in WNC for the Mountain Xpress. She’s done talking about herself in third person now - so if you want to learn more, please register and come to the event! :)
3 hours of AASECT continuing education (3 CE credits) are earned through attending and submitting the feedback form after attending. Does your licensure board accept AASECT credit? I’m not sure, but I have never once had a problem with the MFT board. That’s literally going to be my answer any time that question is asked because I cannot guarantee that your board will accept it, but I have never heard of a board that didn’t and I also know that a lot of boards won’t pre-approve CEs because they typically don’t have the resources to do that.
You can expect a few light snacks and beverages to be provided. We will likely have a quick stretch break in the middle. And you can expect that this talk will not be linear, but rather dynamic and there will be opportunity for Q&A and hopefully some meaningful discussions time as well.
